Wilken is a Senior Vice President in MBP’s New York office, where he advises developers, operators, and investors on capital structuring across the capital stack including senior debt, mezzanine financing, preferred equity, and joint venture equity. Known for his strategic approach and executional rigor, he works closely with clients to navigate complex capital markets and deliver tailored financing solutions for a wide range of real estate ventures.

Wilken brings extensive international experience, having worked across both U.S. and European markets. He has advised institutional investors, family offices, and sponsors on acquisitions, development capital, special situations, and real estate M&A. He began his career in London, worked many years in Berlin, and later transferred to EY’s Transaction Real Estate group in New York, where he worked on high-profile portfolio transactions, restructurings, private equity strategies, and cross-border real estate M&A.

A graduate of the Technical University of Berlin, Wilken offers a global perspective and a proven ability to bridge investment cultures, translating capital into practical, executable structures. Outside the office, Wilken is usually found shuttling his three sons across the Tri-State for soccer matches—and whenever there’s a window, he is always up for a battle on the tennis court.
